One thing I mentioned back in my GameFAQs Private Board entry about Sega was that they were the most unique racing game developer. This I still believe. However, I want to break it down to reinforce my position. I'm trying to be informative here so you can learn stuff.
NOTE: If I missed an IMPORTANT game or two, let me know so I can add it.

That's it, I can't list any more. I wracked my brain on this enough for now, but I know I'll need to update it later. I also know that there's games like rFactor and ModNation Racers, but those are made by obscure companies with few games on their resume. Don't want to nitpick on companies with just one or two games. This includes sequels made by different companies (like Twisted Metal). The main reason this lists exists is to show you the broad picture of Sega versus the competition...
So you see what I mean about Sega and racing games? Why this blog exists? Sega are racing game EXPERTS. No other developer has made so many diverse racing games before.
I hope that this list has been somewhat informative. Please let me know if there's any other RELEVANT racing games I forgot. Adios.
Originally, this was a blog post that I turned into its own page. It's that important. Click here to leave a comment in the original blog post and I'll surely notice.
