Ridge Racer Has A "Daytona" Problem (And Incredible Reggie)

I don't mean in terms of "competition" (although we do know that Daytona wipes the floor of Ridge Racer...it's just that Sega has no initiative to continue the series while Namco keeps plugging along), but in terms of "sound clips."

When you bring up Daytona USA, one of the things that comes to mind is the infamous "Dayyyttonnnaaa!!!" and "Rollinnnngg Sttarrrttt!!" clips.  It just is cause it's so nutty.  For Sega Rally, it's "Game Over Yeeaahhhh!!"  Proving that Sega of Japan is completely out of touch with Western culture.

What's Ridge Racer's quote?  "It's Ridge Racer!  Riiidddgggeee Raaacceerrr!!!"



Kaz Hirai, the Representative Corporate Executive Officer and Executive Deputy President of Sony Corporation, is responsible for putting Ridge Racer back on the map (2006).  It's good advertising!  Like "Double A-honkhonk-M C O!" or "Ba ba ba ba ba, I'm lovin' it."  We know that Namco paid off Kaz Hirai to say this.

"My work here is finished."

Seriously, Harai-San, go explain to the world the ineptness of Sony and the Playstation Network.  "Don't frag the messenger," he says.  EDIT: He also takes a seven-second bow.  For the record, when I'm reading this years later while basking in the glory of my words, PSN was hacked and the servers went down for several weeks so don't you forget it.

And I was looking up other video games spokespeople (in the YT related videos...I'm awesome) and here's Reggie of Nintendo.

Reginald Fils-Aime, President and Chief Operating Officer of Nintendo of America, has more than enough "cool" quotes.  He's probably badass material.  Goodness, why can't Sega get anyone who's clean and articulate like this?  Instead, we got Yu Suzuki mumbling around (God bless him), Toshihiro Nagoshi going out to bars and getting tans, and the rest of Sega is making urinal games...I mean--what the hell's going on here?  How the MOTHER-F****N HELL DID SEGA STOOP SO LOW???  Gee whiz.  MAKE THE GOOD GAEMZ ALREDY SEGA!?!!!11

EDIT: I guess it's up to the fans to step up and Save Sega now.  Let's do this.
